Eleven Met School students and one student from South Kingstown High School are traveling through China with their chaperones, Brandee Lapisky and Denise Ramos.  Check this website, particularly the travel journal portion, to receive regular updates regarding their trip's highlights.

7/14    Depart from the Met School at 4 a.m. for Newark International Airport, NJ.  Depart to Beijing.

7/15    Arrive in Beijing. Attend welcome meeting at Beijing Language School.

7/16    Sight see in Beijing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, and Pearl Market

7/17    Visit the Beijing Zoo and the Great Wall of China.

7/18    Attend the Opening Ceremonies of the Hanban Chinese Summer Bridge Program.

7/19    Fly to Jilin.

7/20    Participate in Changchun City orientation.

7/21    Students attend Chinese classes and learn traditional Chinese painting.

7/22    Students attend Chinese classes and participate in table tennis and basketball games.

7/23    Students attend Chinese classes and visit Changchun International Sculpture park.

7/24    Students attend Chinese classes and take part in the live school performances.

7/25    Visit typical Chinese homes.

7/26    Visit Jing Yue National Park.

7/27    Students attend Chinese classes and visit the Changchun Experimental Middle School.

7/28    Visit Jilin City and Jilin No. 1 Middle School.

7/29    Students take a Chinese test, then have an opportunity to shop.

7/30    Attend the closing ceremony and farewell party.

7/31    Fly from Jilin to Beijing, then Beijing to Newark.  Arrive in Newark at 5:30 p.m.
